The lifestyle
Gharghur is small and quiet, with an old centre of narrow streets and newer houses spreading down the hill. There is very little commerce — a shop or two — so everything means driving to Naxxar or further. The approach roads are winding. It suits people who want views, quiet and an old house, and it does not suit anyone who wants amenities nearby or a lively street.
Property in Gharghur
Mostly houses: houses of character and townhouses in the core, villas and larger properties on the slopes, and a small number of apartments. Views are the defining feature and are priced accordingly. Old stock varies in condition and modernisation. Supply is limited given the village’s size.
