Why live in Ghasri?
Seclusion
Among the quietest addresses in the Maltese islands.
The valley and inlet
Wied il-Ghasri is one of the most striking swimming spots on Gozo.
Countryside
Fields, hills and coast, with almost no development.
Character property
What comes up is old stone rather than concrete.
The lifestyle
Ghasri is tiny and there is very little in it. Daily life means driving to Victoria or Zebbug for anything at all, and the ferry is a long way off. What it offers is quiet and countryside, and the inlet at Wied il-Ghasri, which is worth the walk down the steps. Winter is silent. Property comes up rarely, so anybody set on the village should expect to wait. It suits buyers looking for seclusion rather than renters looking for a home base.
Property in Ghasri
A very small market — farmhouses, old village houses, occasionally something newly built. Turnover is low and choice is minimal. Outdoor space is normal. Long lets are rare; this is predominantly a buyer’s market and a slow one.
Who is this area best for?
Buyers wanting seclusion
As quiet as the islands get while still being a village.
Walkers and swimmers
The valley and the inlet are among Gozo’s best.
Less suited to
Renters, commuters, and anyone who needs a shop within walking distance.
Look at instead
Zebbug Gozo and Gharb nearby have more stock and the same countryside.
