Why live in Kirkop?
Small and settled
A village you can walk across, where people know each other.
Price
Low by any Maltese standard.
Airport and the south
Very close to the airport and the southern employment areas.
Quiet streets
Almost no through traffic.
The lifestyle
Kirkop is genuinely small, which means very little happens in it and everything is known. There are a few shops and a square; the rest is in Zurrieq, Luqa or Birzebbuga. Aircraft noise is a real consideration depending on the runway in use and the street — this is the sort of thing to check at a viewing rather than take on trust. A car is necessary. For somebody who wants a quiet, cheap base in the south and does not need to be north often, it is one of the better-value addresses on the island.
Property in Kirkop
Townhouses and maisonettes make up most of the stock, with a small number of newer apartments. Properties are modest and generally unmodernised in the older core, often with a yard or roof terrace. The market is small and slow-moving; there is rarely much choice at any given time.
